Recommendations
(Pentagon): We suggest using the American wood species of
Hickory for the Pentagon cabinet model. Teak accents add a very nice
contrast to the cabinetry. We also suggest a Natural
finish, and the Quarry Palisade top by Staron.

FYI:
Hickory is the hardest and strongest American wood in common
use. The color of Hickory is white to tan to reddish-brown with
inconspicuous fine brown lines. Extremely tough and resilient,
Hickory is quite hard and only moderately heavy. Westward
trekking pioneers allegedly made hickory a prerequisite for their
wagon wheels.
Genuine
Teak (Tectona grandis) is a premium wood species that is native to
India and Malaysia. Teak is considered a very valuable wood because of
its ability to withstand weather. It even prevents any metal used in
it from rusting. The preservative nature of Teaks sap makes it a
natural choice for exterior applications even in the harshest marine
environments.
