Tenecor's Marine Ready
aquariums are our "ready-to-run" systems, complete with
aquarium, in-tank pre-filter(s), pump(s), wet-dry filter and plumbing
components.
-
These setups employ today's most efficient biologically based
"trickle" or wet-dry filters.
-
The filters are selected to fit in Tenecor's aquarium stands and
provide ample biological filtration.
-
They are the most flexible filtration system and are ideal for
either freshwater or saltwater fish aquariums, and with the addition
of our protein skimmer packages, for marine reef tanks. Although
Tenecor does not sell them, other components such as UV sterilizers,
heater, chiller etc. can be added to the basic filtration system as
needed.
-
Marine Ready fish tanks include plumbing components to connect the
pump(s), filter and tank pre-filters. These components include vinyl
tubing, bulkheads and fittings, flap check valve(s), and ball
valve(s). The valves are provided to control flow from the tank in
the event of pump failure and to allow complete shut-off of the
system if required.
-
Pre-filter configurations of each Marine Ready aquarium are
engineered to match pump flow rates as closely as possible, taking
into account the height of the fish tank and the aquarium stand. If
you are using Tenecor's Marine Ready system where the tank
will be more the 30" to 36" above the pumps you will want
to consider the impact of this additional head pressure on over-all
system performance. We recommend you contact a Tenecor sales
representative at 602-437-4373 for assistance.
Marine ready filtration systems are offered in acrylic aquarium sizes
ranging from 40 to 1300 gallons in all of the shapes Tenecor offers.
The basic Marine Ready aquarium configuration of in-tank pre-filter
connected to a wet-dry filter and pump is illustrated in the following
diagram:
There are seven filtration systems with different wet-dry filter, pump(s)
and pre-filter configurations. The six most commonly used Marine
Ready filtration systems are illustrated on the Marine
Ready System Diagrams Page.
